Major economies around the globe are tackling the Fourth Industrial Revolution with different initiatives.
The plan of Japan is called “Society 5.0”. This concept intends to create a highly interconnected, human-centric and solution-oriented “ultra-smart” society. The implementation of robots, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and the analysis of Big Data will be key components of this future system.
“Made in China 2025” is the initiative of China. The goal is to turn China into a manufacturing “superpower”. This shall be achieved by the promotion and dissemination of smart manufacturing technologies, letting Chinese manufacturers climb up the value chain.
