New Call for Bridging Grants with Japan – Deadline 30 September 2020

Switzerland is currently accepting proposals for Bridging Grants with Japan. The call is aimed at building on existing collaboration between Japanese and Swiss researchers. Not only joint research projects but also past workshops or seminars that have been jointly organized would qualify. It is open to all scientific disciplines and fields of research. Selected proposals will receive up to CHF 25’000 for a maximum duration of 12 months. Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2020 (CET).

All scientists of Swiss federal and cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of teachers’ education, as well as public research institutions, are eligible to apply. Counterparts must hold a faculty or senior scientist position or a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) with several years of research experience and be affiliated with a university or a public research institute in Japan.

The call is announced by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich) as the Leading House for collaboration with Asia in the framework of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation’s (SERI) bilateral programmes, and is open for scientists in Switzerland and collaborators in Japan, China (incl. Hong Kong and Taiwan), South Korea and the ASEAN member states.
