Switzerland and Japan are currently accepting applications for the Call for Young Researchers' Exchange Programme between the two countries. The instrument funds 3 to 6-month research visits in the partner country and is open to all scientific fields–including social sciences and the humanities. The programme will cover airfare and a living allowance in the respective countries. Switzerland-based early-career researchers can apply to ETH Zurich for a stay in Japan and Japanese researchers to JSPS for a stay in Switzerland.
For Switzerland-based researchers
Eligibility: doctoral students (and in exceptional cases post-doctoral and Master students) from Swiss universities, universities of applied sciences and public research institutes are invited to apply. The call is open to all scientific disciplines.
Funding: grants will cover travel costs and a monthly living allowance for a research stay at a Japanese university or research laboratory.
Deadline: 30 June 2021
COVID-19: this call is launched for research stays with a starting date in mid-December 2021 or later.
